Brandon Roby graduated from PGA of America in 2004. He has had a passion for teaching from the very beginning of his career. He started as the first Assistant Golf Professional at Kent Country Club in Grand Rapids with the only four-time winner of Michigan Teacher of the Year, Charley VandenBerg.
When Brandon was ready to continue to grow as a teacher, he moved to Cascade Hills Country Club in 2005 as an Assistant Golf Professional. He quickly proved his passion for teaching and became Cascade Hill’s first Director of Instruction in 2012. During his time at Cascade Hills, Brandon has continued his education by becoming certified at the Titleist Performance Institute Levels 1 and 2 as well as Level 2 junior golf certified. He is US Kids certified and one of three professionals in Michigan to earn Aimpoint putting certification with Mark Sweeney.
Brandon has developed relationships with some of the Top 100 teachers in the United States that he considers important mentors and friends including: Gale Peterson, Mark Blackburn, Jason Sutton, David Orr, James Ridyard, and Mike Adams. His knowledge and willingness to continue to grow and learn has developed Brandon’s teaching philosophy. He believes it is his job to develop the whole person as a golfer and strives to teach to various modalities to help everyone become better in the game of golf.
